Job summary

Midas Hospitality is seeking a dependable Hotel Engineer / Maintenance Engineer to join our hotel operations team. This hands-on role maintains the hotel’s physical property, equipment, and guest rooms to ensure a safe, comfortable, and exceptional experience for every guest.

The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting problems, working with their hands, and taking pride in maintaining high standards of safety, appearance, and functionality throughout the hotel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Technical certifications or trade licenses are a plus
• Ability to read and understand safety instructions and equipment manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance tasks per hotel schedules and brand standards
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hotel equipment, guest rooms, and public areas
• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and mechanical repairs
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests with professional service
• Maintain appearance and functionality of guest rooms, hallways, meeting spaces, exterior and back-of-house areas
• Monitor mechanical equipment, boilers, HVAC systems, lighting, and appliances
• Conduct routine safety inspections and identify hazards
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and preventive maintenance records
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and hotel standards
• Operate maintenance tools and supplies safely
• Assist with emergency situations and after-hours maintenance
• Assist with snow removal, grounds, pool maintenance as needed
• Support additional projects from hotel leadership
