Job summary

Midas Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering department, ensuring safety, functionality, and appearance of our hotel property. You will manage preventative maintenance programs, oversee building systems, and develop engineering staff to support guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of hotel systems and proven leadership, with ability to manage budgets and respond to emergencies to minimize downtime and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership or supervisory experience.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and departmental budgets.
• Ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
• Technical certifications preferred; related education accepted.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Engineering associates while promoting safety, accountability, and teamwork.
• Oversee daily Engineering operations, PM schedules, and priorities.
• Develop short- and long-term maintenance plans to protect hotel assets.
• Manage life safety, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to guest and associate maintenance requests to maximize satisfaction.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate outside contractors.
