Cambria Hotel Boston Somerville is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, common areas, meeting spaces, and the fitness center, helping keep the property running smoothly. You will respond to repair requests and assist with upgrades, with hourly pay starting at $23/hour.

The role requires flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests.
• Friendly, professional demeanor in guest areas.
• Availability for a varied schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; stand for up to six hours; and reach, carry, push, pull, bend, squat, and twist.
• Experience in hotel, property, or building maintenance or housekeeping preferred.
• Multi-lingual a plus.

Responsabilités

• Respond promptly to guest and staff repair requests.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems
• Troubleshoot and repair fixtures, furniture, appliances, and equipment
• Keep accurate records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance logs
• Follow safety procedures and help keep the property up to code
