Stonebridge Companies is seeking a Line Cook at the Hilton Garden Inn Long Island City to prepare and cook meals to hotel standards. You will work under the supervision of a chef and contribute to breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and room service while maintaining high food quality and safety.

Responsibilities include stocking, portioning, and cooking pantry items, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Strong time management and adherence to recipes are essential in a fast-paced kitchen

Formación

• Associate's degree or equivalent training in culinary arts.
• Six months to one year of related kitchen experience.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation methods, including pantry items, sandwiches, salads and desserts.
• Ability to follow recipes and ensure consistency in quality.
• Experience in high-paced kitchen environments.
• Safe Serve/Food Handler’s certification is required.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares all ingredients for the shift before service begins, ensuring readiness.
• Operates the cooking station safely and efficiently according to hotel standards.
• Prepares food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Maintains cleanliness and follows food sanitation standards at all times.
• Handles and stores all food items properly, following safety procedures.
• Inspects all food visually before sending it from the kitchen.
• Prepares requisitions for supplies and food items as needed.
• Follows written or verbal instructions from the Chef or supervisor.
