Job summary

Aloft Denver Downtown is seeking a qualified line cook to prepare food for hotel outlets using standardized recipes, ensuring quality and safety. You will work in a high-volume kitchen, set up mise en place, and operate grills and fryers while maintaining sanitation and assisting with guest inquiries as needed.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years cooking experience in a fast-paced environment, with Food Handlers certification.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Must possess strong leadership and customer relations skills.
• Experience with cutting tools, cookware and bakeware is preferred.
• Experience in high-volume cooking environments.
• Knowledge of sanitation, health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items using standardized recipes in a timely and consistent manner.
• Set up mise en place and station for service.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, griddles, and mixers.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas and equipment.
• Verify quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Assist with guest inquiries and dining room needs as required.
