Proper Hospitality in Culver City is seeking a Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will prepare menu items per approved recipes, maintain mise en place, and ensure consistent quality across all dishes.

The role requires at least one year of kitchen experience, culinary training, a valid food handler certificate, and fluency in English. You should be detail-oriented, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and work well with colleagues.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Certification of culinary training.
• Valid food handling certificate.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and read/write legibly.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare all menu items according to approved recipes, yield guides, and production schedules.
• Cut, fabricate, dice, mince, chop, and portion meats, fish, fowl, vegetables, fruits, and other items.
• Expand and condense recipes as required to meet business needs.
• Maintain and update recipe cards, plating guides, production schedules, and reference photos.
• Open and close duties including equipment startup/shutdown, mise en place, and restocking.
• Sanitation and safety: comply with health regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Anticipate guest needs and maintain professional guest relations.
