Job summary

The Line Cook at Stonebridge, based at the Marriott Hotel in Saddle Brook, NJ, is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes across breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and room service while upholding the hotel’s standards and safety practices.

You will work under a chef’s supervision to ensure food consistency and superior quality, with duties spanning ingredient prep, station operation, recipe adherence, and sanitation throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in culinary arts or equivalent; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation methods including pantry items, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
• Safe Serve/Food Handler’s certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all ingredients for the shift before service begins.
• Operates the cooking station safely and efficiently.
• Prepares food items according to recipes and standards.
• Maintains cleanliness and follows food sanitation standards.
• Handles and stores food items following safety standards.
• Assists with pantry, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
• Follows Chef's instructions and opening/closing procedures.
