Job summary

Intercontinental St. Paul Riverfront is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to keep our kitchen clean, sanitary, and well stocked. You’ll support the culinary team by maintaining dishes, cookware, and work areas to health standards while assisting with general kitchen tasks.

The role is hourly and non-exempt, with no direct supervision. This position requires physical stamina to stand long hours and lift heavy items, contributing to a hospitality-driven guest experience in downtown St. Paul.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical activities requiring use of arms and legs, including movement.
• Stand for up to 8 hours with mobility.
• Kneel, squat, bend, stoop and twist as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Keep a necessary supply of clean dishes, glassware, and cookware in stock.
• Stock dishware, glassware, pots, pans, skillets, and utensils in designated areas.
• Wash pots, pans, kettles, and skillets as needed.
• Monitor and remove trash; sort and dispose accordingly.
• Assist kitchen staff during set-up and clean-up.
• Ensure kitchen, banquet kitchen, and cafeteria are clean at all times.
• Sweep and mop kitchen spaces, dish room, coolers, and cafeteria.
• Keep service elevators clean.
• Use cleaning chemicals per OSHA regulations.
• Keep cooks stocked with needed equipment.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Perform duties timely per company policies; other duties as assigned.
