Job summary

Hyatt Regency Harare is seeking an IT Manager to lead hotel information systems, oversee POS and inventory solutions, and ensure cybersecurity across all platforms. The role includes coordinating maintenance, data backup, and rapid fault resolution to maintain seamless hotel operations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years in IT management within hospitality, strong leadership, and excellent communication across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related field required or preferred.
• Professional certifications (ITIL, CISSP, PMP, Microsoft, Cisco) desirable.
• Minimum 3 years' proven experience in IT management, ideally in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems such as POS, inventory management, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and conduct statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional IT support across hotel operations.
• Supervise and demonstrate IT duties to standard.”
• Be fully conversant with all hotel IT services and facilities.
• Assist users with operation of hotel's IT systems and hardware.
• Ensure preventive maintenance for IT equipment is carried out.
• Coordinate timely repair and return to service of faulty systems or equipment.
• Establish data backup procedures for IT systems.
• Rebuild data corrupted by hardware or software faults.
• Coordinate investigation of software faults and enhancements.
• Set up emergency procedures to maintain hotel operation during system failure.
• Prepare manuals for IT systems and integrate into procedures.
