Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking an experienced HVAC/Maintenance Technician for a full-service hotel in Durham, NC. The role requires troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/refrigeration systems and responding to maintenance requests across guest rooms and public areas.

You will interact with guests professionally, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HVAC/refrigeration troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (Refrigerant Recovery) current.
• Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
• Guest-service skills and professional attitude required.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Use voltage meters, amp probes, and refrigerant gauges.
• Diagnose refrigerant pressures, superheat, and basic HVAC diagnostics.
• Replace compressors, thermostats, and related components.
• Repair walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers.
• Perform general hotel maintenance in plumbing, electrical, drywall, and other areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
