Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a skilled engineer to maintain and repair the hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems, FF&E, pools and grounds. You will service HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and related equipment to keep guest rooms and public areas operating reliably.

This role requires safety discipline and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, with clear English communication for team and guest interaction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Must recognize safety hazards and follow procedures.
• Willing to comply with hotel policies, grooming, safety, security and emergency rules.
• Skilled in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, roofing and landscaping.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical/electrical malfunctions.
• Knowledge of using basic hand and electric tools; familiar with parts and materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent; lodging industry experience preferred.
• Understand building layout and guest room configurations.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests and team members.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, flexible environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) hotel-wide.
• Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a schedule basis.
• Maintains pool and related chemicals; completes maintenance logs.
• Maintains building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, gardening).
• Adheres to company policies, safety and security procedures.
• Reports unsafe conditions, accidents or property damage to supervisor.
• Assists other engineering personnel as needed.
• Performs related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
