Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to be our Housekeeping Supervisor. The role directs housekeeping operations to ensure overall cleanliness and product quality, including the Laundry Department, and works closely with maintenance to deliver outstanding guest service and profitability.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in Supervisor or Manager role.
• Previous experience in a hotel preferred.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have basic mathematical skills.
• Must be able to apply basic principles and techniques of supervision.
• Ability to plan and organize the activities of others.
• Ability to get ideas accepted and to guide a group or individual to accomplish a task.
• Ability to modify leadership style and management approach to reach goal.

Responsibilities

• Direct and administer all Housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and quality for guest rooms, public spaces, offices and meeting rooms.
• Lead Housekeeping operations including budgeting, forecasting, inventory control and policy enforcement.
• Monitor and develop team member performance, providing supervision, coaching and recognition.
• Recruit, interview and train team members.
• Ensure safe chemical usage and proper labeling of hazardous supplies.
• Create and post weekly schedules for Housekeeping and Laundry teams.
• Inspect rooms before guest check-in and update records.
• Coordinate with Front Office to ensure guest room satisfaction.
• Oversee Laundry operations and equipment maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Manage supply inventory and proper storage; log Lost and Found items.
