Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to direct all Housekeeping operations and ensure outstanding guest room cleanliness and service across the hotel. This role includes budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with maintenance and Front Office to optimize guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has prior supervisor/manager experience in hospitality, strong communication, organizational and leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to training and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in Supervisor or Manager role.
• Previous experience in a hotel preferred.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have basic mathematical skills.
• Must be able to apply basic principles and techniques of supervision.
• Ability to plan and organize the activities of others.
• Ability to get ideas accepted and to guide a group or individual to accomplish a task.
• Ability to modify leadership style and management approach to reach goal.
• Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications.
• Ability to effectively handle conflict in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure and maintain cleanliness, service and product quality standards are met for guest rooms, public space, offices, banquet/meeting/conference rooms in accordance with local and company health, sanitation and safety standards
• Lead, direct and administer all Housekeeping operations to include budgeting and forecasting, inventory control, department management, policy and procedure implementation
• Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, scheduling, coaching and recognition
• Recruit, interview and train team members
• Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies with complete training and proper labeling of hazardous supplies
• Create and post weekly schedule for Housekeeping and Laundry Team Members
• Physically check rooms prepared by Room Attendants for guest check-in and update in the system
• Assist in situations of high occupancy or staff absence as needed
• Coordinate with Front Office to ensure guest room satisfaction
• Oversee Laundry operations and maintenance of Laundry Equipment
