Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field.
• Brand Certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years hotel experience.
• Minimum of 2 years management experience, including 1 year in Hospitality Management.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish & English) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in Google Apps for Work.
• Proficient in hotel PMS.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to learn Brand & Baywood Hotels’ standards.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, selects & trains associates.
• Motivates staff through positive reinforcement.
• Provides input during annual budget planning.
• Attends required meetings and training.
• Conducts departmental meetings and briefs.
• Ensures back-up/emergency procedures are in place.
• Adheres to departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains professional image of staff and facility.
• Monitors cleanliness and inventory; places orders.
• Coordinates with other departments for seamless operations.
• Maintains equipment and conducts routine inspections.
• Communicates via meetings, boards, logs, memos.
• Administers disciplinary actions & performance appraisals.
• Prepares weekly schedules and payroll within budget.
• Reviews checklists and conducts random audits.
• Monitors expenses; keeps costs within budget.
• Participates in safety initiatives and safety committee.
• Completes incident reports and notifies appropriate parties.
• Acts as Manager on Duty as needed.
• Participates in BEAR activities and community events.
• Additional duties as needed.
