Highgate Hotels in New York, NY is seeking a House Attendant responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all assigned areas and equipment, and for delivering items to guestrooms.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred in hotel/related field.
• Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift/carry/push/pull/move objects.
• Ability to stand during the entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards.
• Shampoo carpets in public areas.
• Shampoo furniture as needed.
• Handle luggage assistance requests in a friendly, efficient, courteous manner.
• Handle Lost and Found items according to hotel standards.
• Clean guestrooms as needed.
• Know and assist in all emergency procedures.
• Maintain hotel equipment in proper working order.
• Store hotel equipment properly.
• Complete special projects as assigned by Housekeeping Manager.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
