Job summary

Highgate in New York City is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain clean and attractive guestrooms and provide attentive service to guests.

The role involves thorough cleaning of guestrooms, restocking supplies, and reporting issues to supervisors to ensure guest satisfaction. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the shift; HS diploma or equivalent preferred. This is an hourly position located in Times Square, NYC.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.
• Complete pre-cleaning duties and prepare supplies for housekeeping cart.
• Remove trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
• Keep hallways, public areas and closets clean and vacuumed.
• Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day.
• Replenish chemical bottles.
• Report missing items to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Report maintenance repairs immediately to supervisor/manager.
• Handle Lost and Found items per standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
