Responsibilities

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, efficient registration and billing, and maintaining professionalism and friendliness.

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Engage with guests and listen attentively to their requests, resolving issues promptly
  • Perform accurate check-ins and check-outs daily
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally
  • Make reservations via phone and in person
  • Run daily reports to verify reservations and note special requests
  • Manage cash float and ensure cash drawer balances correctly at shift end
  • Anticipate and address guest needs
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas
  • Follow fire and emergency procedures to ensure safety, participating in evacuations if necessary
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience in Guest Services, with knowledge of Springfield and surrounding areas
  • Excellent communication, guest service, and time management skills
  • Ability to organize, plan ahead, and manage workload effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasked environment
  • Knowledge of the hotel industry is beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; OPERA system experience is a plus
  • Ability to remain calm and resolve problems with good judgment
  • Team player with a positive, professional attitude and a desire to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays; weekends are required

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant standing and walking; ability to remain stationary as needed; ability to lift and carry up to 5 lbs; must pass a physical exam prior to employment
