Job summary

InTown Suites in Douglasville, GA seeks a General Manager to oversee daily hotel operations, financial performance, staff leadership, and guest satisfaction. The GM will manage front office functions, budgeting, and local marketing while ensuring safety and compliance with corporate policies.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to work long hours, with a focus on delivering high guest service levels and maintaining property standards.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Read, speak, write and understand English to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to read and interpret various reports and internal hotel information.
• Sufficient math skills to forecast revenue, occupancy, and labor costs.
• General computer proficiency and front office systems knowledge.
• Knowledge of front office operations, service standards, and upselling to ensure excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and hire property staff.
• Train, develop and support staff at the property.
• Oversee office operations, guest check-in/out, cash handling, bookkeeping and payroll.
• Ensure excellent guest service and safety standards.
• Develop expertise in computer operating systems used at the property.
• Identify and manage repairs and maintenance issues.
• Assist with capital expenditure planning and projects.
• Monitor life/safety and inspection issues; report concerns to supervisor.
• Drive revenue through pricing, inventory control, and local marketing.
• Meet budgets via P&L analysis and cost control; support annual budgeting.
