My Place Hotel in Billings, MT is seeking a General Manager to lead a small, dynamic team and oversee every aspect of hotel operations, from strategy to guest service. You will set goals, monitor performance, and ensure smooth daily operations.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication, supervision of a diverse staff, and a focus on safety, maintenance, revenue, and guest satisfaction, with occasional travel and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and other common applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for staff, guests, and community interactions.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities to keep the hotel running smoothly.
• Good grasp of engineering or maintenance concepts to supervise facilities.
• Reliable and professional approach with consistency and dedication.
• Meticulous attention to detail to enforce brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of strategies to drive hotel success and long-term goals.
• Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and management of a small team of diverse employees.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed to protect guests, staff, and property.
• Maintain high standards of quality across all areas to deliver the best guest experience.
• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the hotel and ensure everything is in working order.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community to enhance reputation.
• Foster a strong connection to the My Place brand and promote Stay Rewarded loyalty program.
• Manage the hotel's finances and cash handling to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in driving sales and marketing efforts to promote the property and increase occupancy.
• Make informed decisions impacting operations, staff, and guests.
• Serve as the central point of communication, keeping staff informed and motivated.
• Stay informed about local competition and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Be prepared to perform any hotel role when needed, including front desk and housekeeping.
