Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center in East Lansing is seeking a Front Office Rotational Student. You will train across the front desk roles—Telephone Operator, Reservations Agent, and Front Desk Agent—serving as the face of the Kellogg Center and delivering outstanding guest service.

Open to MSU students, this internship emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and strong communication. Typical shifts include 7:00–15:00 or 15:00–23:00, with 15–20 hours weekly and weekend commitments.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year).
• Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) and be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population
• Dependable and reliable
• Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week.
• Must be available to work 2027 Graduation

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with all guests of the Hotel
• Assist guests with luggage and directions
• Answer phones, perform data entries, assist in maintaining records and accounts
• Ensure accurate guest folios and transactions at the Front Desk
• Check guests in and out of the hotel while assisting with various guest service duties
