Job summary

Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center in East Lansing, MI, seeks a Beverage Intern (Level 1–2) to assist in overseeing wine, beer, and liquor for Kellogg Restaurant and Events operations. Duties include inventory, deliveries, event pack-outs, and beverage ordering.

Ideal candidates are MSU students with strong customer service, attention to detail, and basic alcohol knowledge. Weekday/weekend shifts, including football games and some holidays, are required.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University during the academic year.
• Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Must be positive and respectful, especially when serving a diverse population.
• Basic knowledge of wine, liquor and beer.

Responsibilities

• Rotate stock in the beverage/liquor room and in Spartan Stadium Tower.
• Put away weekly beverage deliveries.
• Prepare bar pack-outs for events.
• Prepare transfer sheets for beverage movements.
• Assist with weekly beverage orders and check invoices for pricing.
• Clean and organize Kellogg Center liquor room and offsite locations.
• Assist with monthly inventory and beverage transport under supervision.
• Provide support for offsite beverage venues where Kellogg Center is the exclusive provider.
