Job summary

Rose Associates is seeking a courteous Front Desk Agent for The Bayard Hotel in New York City. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling check-ins and check-outs with a welcoming, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries via in person, phone, or email; coordinating with housekeeping; maintaining accurate reservations and guest accounts; processing payments; and promoting hotel services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality coursework preferred.
• Prior front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide a positive first impression of the hotel.
• Manage check-in/check-out, verify guest information, process payments, and issue room keys.
• Respond to inquiries in person, by phone, and via email with accurate information.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready.
• Maintain records of reservations, room status, and guest accounts.
• Handle cash and daily balancing; uphold security protocols.
• Assist with administrative tasks and upsell hotel services.
