Job summary

The Hotel Alex Johnson in Rapid City, SD, seeks a Front Desk Associate to welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, and provide information on local attractions and services. You will support multiple hotel outlets and enjoy benefits through LIV Hospitality and Hilton Honors.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to work flexible shifts.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn hotel property management system(s).
• Excellent communication and listening skills with the public and staff.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for making room reservations and checking guests in and out of the Hotel.
• Issues room keys, pamphlets, discount cards, etc.
• Provides information to guests regarding hotel services, entertainment, shopping and travel.
• Ensures confidentiality, security and safety of guests in front desk communications.
• Arranges transportation for guests.
• Compute bills, post charges, collect payment and make change.
• Runs reports—handwritten and computer.
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk and lobby area.
• Wear a uniform and nametag at all times on property.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
