Job summary

The Hotel Alex Johnson in Rapid City, SD is seeking a friendly housekeeping team member to maintain clean public areas and guest spaces. You’ll join a historic, centrally located hotel offering training opportunities and a variety of outlets to gain experience.

Responsibilities include cleaning public areas, restrooms, stocking supplies, and reporting maintenance issues; you’ll work with a team and deliver excellent service, with health/dental/vision/life benefits and a 401k plan for full-time

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Team player with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Guest-focused and courteous at all times.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Clean assigned public areas throughout hotel.
• Empty trash in all public areas and clean public area restrooms.
• Clean mirrors and inside windows; wipe and dust surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets where needed.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards.
• Report necessary maintenance items.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
