Job summary

Sonesta Baltimore is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to perform general maintenance of the hotel’s physical plant and grounds. You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety standards across all areas of the property.

The role requires basic plumbing and electrical skills, strong teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 100-300 pounds. Night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of general building maintenance and repair experience.
• Completion of high school diploma or related vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs across hotel facilities.
• Prepare and ensure equipment readiness for next day’s work.
• Monitor and repair electrical and plumbing systems for safety and efficiency.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior areas and parking.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
