Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is recruiting a Hotel Preventative Maintenance Engineer to perform general maintenance across hotel facilities, ensuring safety and quality standards. This role covers building, equipment, and grounds, including preventative tasks and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fixtures.

Ideal candidates have advanced vocational training with two years of maintenance experience, able to read English, and willing to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of maintenance experience.
• Background in hotel or multi-unit facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics.
• Ability to read and write English; basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on hotel interior and exterior areas.
• Execute preventative maintenance per PM program and record results.
• Repair HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and general building systems.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of exterior facilities and grounds.
• Communicate with management about hazards and security of assets.
• May work long hours, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
