Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold and repair guest rooms and building systems. You will ensure optimal operating conditions across departments and coordinate with other shifts to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include recording work requests via CMMS (HotSoS), responding to emergencies, and acting as a maintenance representative for Property Operations. Candidates should have 1 year of maintenance/ construction experience; hotel/casino experience

Qualifications

Must have 1 year general maintenance and/or construction experience or equivalent.
Facilities experience in hotel/casino/resort industry is preferred.
Ability to learn new techniques and trades.

Responsibilities

Maintain records, inventory equipment, and replacement parts.
Maintain and repair property equipment, guest rooms, all building systems and equipment, lighting, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, all filter types, equipment and appliances.
Responsible for maintaining optimum operating conditions for guest room and all other operating equipment.
Communicate with other shifts to minimize downtime on ongoing projects.
Respond to accident scenes and emergency calls and assist.
Act as a maintenance representative for the Property Operations department.
Log daily work requests using CMMS HotSoS.
Perform other duties as assigned.
