Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Facilities/Maintenance technician to keep building systems and the building envelope in top condition at our Santa Rosa property. You will perform preventative maintenance, fix electrical and plumbing issues, and assist with major repairs across HVAC, boilers, and pool equipment.

Responsibilities include servicing the pool, updating logs, refurbishing guest room furniture, and ensuring curb appeal.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry required.
• Climbing, standing, walking, and ability to lift 25–50 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt style for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building systems and envelope to ensure guest safety and energy efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders (replacing tiles, bulbs, etc.).
• Inspect electrical systems and assist with repairs in HVAC, lighting, and controls.
• Service pool operations, chemistry, and filter cleaning; maintain logs.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures; move items as needed within the building.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure satisfaction.
