Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee building systems and the building envelope to ensure guest safety and comfort. You will support preventative maintenance, perform routine inspections, and assist with major repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry areas.

Responsibilities include servicing pool equipment, maintaining exterior curb appeal, refurbishing room furniture, and responding to guest requests with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Trade-based training or certification in building trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry).
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs (ceiling tiles, light bulbs, fixtures).
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Assist in major repairs of hotel equipment (boilers, pumps, HVAC).
• Service pool maintenance and chemical balancing; maintain logs.
• Maintain exterior curb appeal and refurbish furniture/fixtures in guest rooms.
• Move furniture and fixtures and respond courteously to guest inquiries and requests.
