Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a maintenance specialist to keep the hotel’s building systems and guest areas in top condition. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure a safe and comfortable guest experience.

The role emphasizes energy efficiency, adherence to safety codes, and timely response to maintenance requests, while supporting a high standard of guest satisfaction across hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades required in 1 or more of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain the hotel and product quality.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on building systems and guest rooms.
• Inspect electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment and perform routine repairs.
• Maintain pool and exterior areas, including safety and cleanliness.
• Repair and refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and company standards.
• Respond to guest inquiries professionally and ensure guest satisfaction.
