Job summary

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Houston Downtown/Convention Center seeks an Engineer Supervisor to lead maintenance operations across the property, supervise the engineering team, and safeguard guest comfort and safety. You will manage preventive maintenance, energy usage, and responsive guest service to uphold high standards.

The role requires experience in supervising staff, a service-oriented mindset, and flexibility for weekend work and emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in hotel or property maintenance environments.
• Ability to supervise, train and motivate staff.
• Experience evaluating and spot-checking work of staff and contractors.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and safety inspections.
• Comfort with managing energy usage and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations to keep property systems running smoothly and guest spaces in top condition.
• Inspire, train, and schedule engineering crew; champion workplace safety and inspections.
• Oversee the preventative maintenance program for guest rooms and public areas.
• Manage energy usage and expenses; make smart purchasing decisions for efficiency.
• Respond to guestroom requests quickly and serve as emergency contact when needed.
