SpringHill Suites by Marriott Houston Downtown/Convention Center seeks an Engineer Supervisor to lead maintenance operations across the property, supervise the engineering team, and safeguard guest comfort and safety. You will manage preventive maintenance, energy usage, and responsive guest service to uphold high standards.

The role requires experience in supervising staff, a service-oriented mindset, and flexibility for weekend work and emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in hotel or property maintenance environments.
• Ability to supervise, train and motivate staff.
• Experience evaluating and spot-checking work of staff and contractors.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and safety inspections.
• Comfort with managing energy usage and budgets.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
• May be required to work weekends, holidays, and be available for emergencies.
• Comply with certification requirements (Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, First Aid).
• Experience in training, supervising, and motivating staff.
• Ability to evaluate and spot check work of staff and contractors.
