Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead general and preventative maintenance across the hotel, ensuring guest comfort and sustainability standards are met. You will oversee a team, coordinate with vendors, and manage small projects.

Responsibilities include inspections, record-keeping of PMs, supervising staff, ensuring life safety systems are 100% operational, and maintaining exterior curb appeal while adhering to HHM standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and/or trade school coursework in a related field.
• Previous supervisory engineer/maintenance experience required or equivalent training.
• Certifications may be required; HVAC certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates while upholding brand standards.
• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Manage bids, quotes and contracts for 3rd-party vendors.
• Oversee small projects and report on work progress (PIPS).
• Install/repair electrical fixtures and basic plumbing tasks.
• Maintain life safety systems and keep PM records current.
• Ensure exterior curb appeal and refurbish furniture/fixtures when needed.
• Adhere to safety, MSDS, and OSHA requirements.
