Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee and lead the engineering operations across hotel and resort properties. You will manage asset performance, safety programs and energy efficiency while guiding a skilled team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staffing, preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. The role requires strong leadership and a hands-on, safety‑driven approach.

Qualifications

• HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry experience in large facilities.
• Five or more years hotel or building maintenance/facilities management experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics and interpret technical manuals.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish preferred.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering operations to meet standards and guest expectations.
• Plan budgets, forecasts and inventory control; assist with contractor negotiations.
• Hire, train, evaluate and coach engineering staff; manage performance reviews.
• Ensure safety compliance with PPE usage and incident investigations.
• Maintain and inspect systems, respond to emergencies, optimize lifecycle costs.
