Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Chief Engineer to supervise preventive maintenance, monitor life safety systems, and oversee maintenance of the hotel's mechanical and electrical systems and FF&E across the property. You will manage capital projects, lead engineering staff, and ensure compliance with brand standards and regulatory codes.

The role requires hands-on trades experience (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry) and 3+ years at a similar property; hotel operations knowledge is

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience at a comparable location. Hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the implementation of property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs, monitor life safety systems and utilities, and administer the department per corporate/franchise standards and codes.
• Effectively manage engineering related capital projects and oversee preventative maintenance and repair of mechanical/electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintain engineering spaces, lead staff supervision and training, ensure cost-effective operations within budget, and maintain accurate records for RAM, PM, and inspections.
