Job summary

Texas Western Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer in Laredo to lead facilities operations across hotel properties. You will oversee safety inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems while guiding a maintenance team and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college or vocational training preferred.
• Two years of college or vocational training in electrical/mechanical engineering or plumbing.
• Minimum six years of experience in facilities maintenance or hotel engineering services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance staff and coordinate repairs.
• Administer preventive maintenance program and completing work orders on time.
• Ensure safety inspections are completed and discrepancies corrected.
• Manage vendors for pricing, bids, and material selection.
• Maintain and repair fire, life safety, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Train co-workers on safety, procedures and service guidelines.
