Job summary

Encore Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer for our Mississippi hotel to oversee maintenance and daily engineering operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and service quality. You will lead a technical team, coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and energy management while complying with codes and standards.

The role requires at least 5 years in hotel or building engineering with leadership experience, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and proven project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
• HVAC / electrical certifications advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years in hotel/building engineering with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the engineering department, ensuring HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems run optimally.
• Lead, train, and supervise the engineering team; 24/7 coverage.
• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs and energy management initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate with architects, vendors, and contractors on major projects.
