Job summary

Concord Hospitality is seeking a skilled Chief Engineer to lead our property engineering team and ensure the safety, functionality, and quality of the hotel’s infrastructure and systems. This leadership role oversees maintenance operations, safety compliance, budgeting, and staff development, and requires strong knowledge of building systems, life safety, and HVAC.

You will hire, train, and evaluate engineering staff, maintain brand standards, and communicate with leadership on property

Qualifications

• Experience leading hotel engineering or maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, life safety, fire protection, and HVAC operations.
• Proven ability to train and develop maintenance staff in hospitality.
• Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards (OSHA, local codes).

Responsibilities

• Manage repairs and routine maintenance of hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical operations.
• Oversee inventory management, procurement, budgeting, safety compliance, and inspections.
• Ensure hotel accommodations meet safety standards and provide a secure work environment.
• Hire, train, and evaluate engineering staff; promote continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with brand standards and protocols.
• Communicate with General Manager, corporate leaders, and ownership on property conditions and needs.
• Lead safety programs, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation initiatives.
• Support Leadership Development Training and foster growth and accountability.
