Job summary

Concord Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead our property engineering team, ensuring safety, functionality, and quality of the hotel’s infrastructure and systems. This leadership role oversees maintenance operations, compliance, and staff development in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The Chief Engineer will hire, train, motivate, and evaluate engineering staff, promote continuous improvement, and maintain alignment with brand standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hotel engineering or maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, life safety, and HVAC operations.
• Experience with safety and compliance standards (OSHA, local codes).

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs and routine maintenance of hotel systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Oversee inventory, procurement, budgeting, safety compliance, and inspections/certifications.
• Ensure hotel accommodations meet safety standards for guests and a secure working environment for staff.
• Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate engineering staff; promote development.
• Maintain compliance with brand standards and protocols.
• Communicate conditions, needs, and safety concerns to GM and leadership.
• Lead safety programs, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation efforts.
• Support Leadership Development Training and a culture of growth.
