Job summary

Kimpton Sylvan Hotel in Atlanta seeks an experienced Maintenance/Engineering Manager to ensure safe, reliable operation of all building systems. You will oversee electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, and IT infrastructure, while leading the engineering team and coordinating with vendors.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, budget adherence, staff training, and enforcing brand standards and health codes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in a hotel or similar facility
• Knowledge of hotel operations, safety programs, and budget forecasting
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Take charge of the Engineering Department when the Chief Engineer is unavailable
• Maintain and monitor Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT, Kitchen, Laundry, Pool systems
• Follow preventive maintenance procedures and keep records for PM, Life Safety, and regulatory inspections
• Manage department budget, stock levels, and procurement; ensure cost efficiency
• Hire, train, supervise and discipline engineering staff as needed
• Ensure compliance with Brand standards and health/safety codes
