Job summary

Kimpton Sylvan Hotel seeks a Chief Engineer to lead on-site maintenance in Atlanta, ensuring reliable electrical, mechanical and life-safety systems. You will supervise engineers, manage preventive maintenance programs, and oversee capital projects in alignment with HEI brand standards.

Ideal candidates have hotel maintenance experience, strong leadership, and a solid accounting mindset to track budgets and inventory while maintaining guest comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling or military training in building trades.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience at a comparable hotel location.
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance of building systems (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT).
• Supervise engineering staff, assign tasks, train and monitor performance.
• Maintain PM records, budgets, stock, and capital projects.
