Job summary

Kimpton Sylvan Hotel in Atlanta, GA invites an Engineering Supervisor to oversee all building systems and the engineering team on-site. You will ensure safety, energy efficiency, and compliance with health, fire, and brand standards while managing budgets and maintenance programs.

You will lead, train, and schedule the engineering staff, collaborate with other departments, and respond promptly to building-related issues to maintain guest comfort and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing building systems in a high-end hotel environment.
• Ability to supervise and train engineering staff and assign tasks.
• Strong knowledge of life safety, building codes, and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with budgeting, inventory, and basic accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Engineering Department in the absence of the Chief Engineer.
• Understand and manage Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT, and related systems.
• Follow preventive maintenance procedures for guestrooms, public spaces, and grounds.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline engineering staff as needed.
• Supervise staff to ensure maximum productivity and safety in all spaces.
• Maintain accurate engineering records supporting budgets, PM programs, and capital projects.
