Job summary

The Westin Cincinnati is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead the Maintenance Department in the Property Engineer's absence. You will supervise the maintenance staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure reliable operation of all hotel equipment while supporting guest satisfaction and profitability.

Reporting to the Property Engineer, you will ensure compliance with safety, certification requirements, and energy management, manage scheduling, and participate in MOD coverage as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in hotel/related field, or relevant degrees with compatible years.
• Current certifications per governing authorities (HVAC, pool, electrical) or property-specific.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance staff and manage department in absence of Property Engineer.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, service and repair of equipment.
• Maintain safety, cost control, and guest satisfaction goals.
• Coordinate scheduling and supervise hourly Engineering staff.
• Oversee energy management and preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform daily property tours and inspections as needed.
• Attend required management meetings and communicate with other departments.
