The Westin Cincinnati is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the hotel's engineering team, maintaining mechanical systems and overseeing safety programs to ensure guest comfort and cost efficiency.

This full-time role requires supervisory experience, relevant certifications, and strong problem-solving skills. You will manage shifts, respond to maintenance requests, and safeguard property operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years hotel/related experience, or 2-year degree with 3+ years, or 4-year degree with 2+ years.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current certifications as required (e.g., HVAC, pool, electrical).
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
• Calm under pressure.
• Financial and arithmetic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Marvel: Maintain rooms and public spaces to high standards.
• Team Captain: Lead, train, and schedule shifts for the engineering team.
• Safety Superhero: Conduct fire safety inspections and drills.
• Guest Service Star: Respond to maintenance requests to boost guest service.
• Property Guardian: Patrol grounds and manage Lost and Found items.
• Trusted Ambassador: Access sensitive areas with trust and sound judgment.
