Job summary

Hotel Celare, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel in Cincinnati, is seeking a hands-on Chief Maintenance Engineer to own the hotel’s maintenance, repairs, and building systems. This role involves leading a small team and ensuring safe, efficient operations with a strong focus on guest experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hotel engineering/maintenance, ideally as Chief Engineer or Supervisor.
• Hands-on knowledge of building systems and facilities maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead a small team and work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade training preferred; driving license required.
• Marriott experience and bilingual English/Spanish are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside the maintenance team.
• Handle daily repairs, troubleshooting, and emergency maintenance.
• Oversee preventive maintenance for guest rooms and hotel facilities.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and building systems.
• Assign daily work, manage work orders, and inspect completed work.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire, health, safety, and building codes.
• Manage tools, equipment, supplies, and the Engineering budget.
• Train and support team members while maintaining hotel standards.
• Partner with other departments to ensure a safe and comfortable guest experience.
