Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality seeks an experienced Director of Engineering for Residence Inn Berkeley to lead the Engineering and Maintenance operations. This role oversees building systems, guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure a safe, well-maintained environment for guests and associates.

Collaborate with Hotel Leadership to drive preventative maintenance, manage budgets, and mentor a hands-on Engineering team in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Leadership at Director/Chief Engineer level or similar.
• Hotel or large commercial property engineering experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Experience overseeing preventative maintenance programs and responding to complex building maintenance needs.
• Ability to manage budgets, labor, purchasing, and departmental expenses.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Engineering and Maintenance operations for the hotel.
• Oversee building systems, equipment, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program.
• Ensure timely and professional guest room maintenance and service requests.
• Lead, develop, schedule, and support the Engineering team.
• Conduct routine property inspections and identify needs.
• Coordinate repairs and emergency response activities.
• Manage outside contractors and vendors to property standards.
