Job summary

TPG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver an exceptional dining experience. You will greet guests, seat them, take orders, and ensure accurate service, while presenting menus and answering questions about the menu and specials.

• High school education or related experience.
• Alcohol awareness certification and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
• Ability to understand and comply with proper ordering and food handling techniques and state and local serving guidelines.
• Process guest checks and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests; provide menus and assist with seating.
• Take food and beverage orders and input into the system.
• Serve orders accurately and ensure proper presentation.
• Know menu items and specials; offer recommendations.
• Upsell appetizers, sides, desserts, and beverages.
• Maintain and reset tables; keep dining area clean.
• Interact with guests and address concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Present bills and process payments; handle receipts and slips.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bussers and servers for smooth service.
• Follow sanitation standards and safety practices.
• Assist with special events and catering when needed.
