Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group is seeking a Restaurant Server to ensure every guest enjoys a top-notch dining experience from start to finish. You will greet guests warmly, take orders, and coordinate with the kitchen to exceed expectations in a fast-paced setting.

Assist with wine service, handle payments, and maintain clean, inviting areas. Prior guest relations training and food safety certification are preferred for success in this role.

Qualifications

• One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred.
• Prior guest relations training.
• Knowledge of proper food handling.
• Strong written/verbal communications skills.
• Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed and courtesy.
• Punctuality and reliable attendance required.
• Food safety training and certification as described by law.
• Experience with computers (MS Office/Google) and POS systems (Micros, Aloha) and reservation software (OpenTable).
• Safe movement and lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers warmly.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
• Prepare dining tables for service and arrange utensils and napkins.
• Take guest food and beverage orders accurately.
• Know current menu choices and specials.
• Assign tables, seat guests and communicate needs to cooks.
• Ensure a memorable dining experience.
• Pour wine tableside.
• Record revenue and process payments.
• Perform basic cleaning and restock as needed.
• Assist with special events.
• Answer phone with proper etiquette.
• Maintain positive relations with coworkers.
• Bus tables and help with dishes as needed.
• Assist kitchen with prep and plating as required.
• Clean front-of-house areas and fixtures.
• Fill water bottles and complete service tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
