Job summary

Le Méridien St. Louis Downtown seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering department, supervise maintenance staff, and ensure proactive upkeep of the hotel's physical structure, systems, and guestrooms.

The role focuses on safe, high-quality repairs, guest satisfaction, and effective coordination with hotel departments to respond quickly to maintenance needs. Minimum 5+ years in maintenance/engineering and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in a hotel or similar facility.
• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Electrical and/or plumbing certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain the physical building structure, building systems, and equipment; recommend professional contractor support when needed.
• Ensure completion of grounds and custodial work as needed.
• Use tools and power equipment safely following guidelines.
