Hotel Equities, managing Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the hotel’s maintenance team and oversee life-safety programs. You will supervise engineers, manage budgets, and ensure safe, efficient operation of all systems.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety, plus leadership and coordination with management. A proactive, guest-focused approach is essential for success in a busy city hotel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
• At least 2 years as a Chief Engineer or in a related hotel maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and manage budgets and maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance department and supervise staff.
• Ensure adherence to safety and life-safety policies.
• Monitor budgets and maintenance contracts.
• Coordinate with management on building condition and improvements.
• Oversee external contractors and daily operations of hotel equipment.
